We are very fortunate to have a great soccer community in the Tampa Bay area. We are proud to support the families of Seminole and surrounding cities.  We also have the luxury of utilizing a great facility at the Seminole Recreation Center..  The Board of Directors enjoys supporting our players / families which is one great community!

Before this season started, there were many fresh ideas and discussions that took place with an inspired Board.  New and existing BOD members not only spent many hours planning for fall soccer which is no small task,, we took a review from top to bottom to identify what new goals we could bring to our community. 

The following goals and objectives that were acted on:

1.      Soccer awareness campaign with local soccer clubs (GCU, SYA & SSS)
2.      Updated branding / logo
3.      Player & coach uniform review
4.      Online presence

Additional goals and objectives were discussed; however these 4 items rose to the top.  We hope you have a chance to notice these and we have appreciated your feedback on them.

Coaches requiring field lights at times other than those for normally scheduled soccer programs should contact SSS at SeminoleShootingStars@gmail.com or call-text 727-342-0762.

CANCELLATIONS - Lightning, saturated fields or standing water are reasons to close fields & cancel practices. SSS field status is based on these conditions.

 Spring Soccer Rule Guide 2011

The Seminole Recreation Center will begin registering
for Spring Soccer Saturday, 1/29
 
SPRING SOCCER SEASON

Runs from March 15th—May 12th, Tuesday & Thursdays
No games or practice week of March 28th
 
 
CO-ED AGE GROUPS

   For children born before Feb 2007 and after Feb 1998
 
    6 & Under  /   8 & Under   /   10 & Under  /  12 & Under
 
 
PRACTICE NIGHTS

 Begins Tuesday, March 15th
 Practice will be held every Tuesday night from either 6-7pm or 7-8pm
 
 
GAMES

 Games begin Thursday, March 24th
 Games will be held every Thursday night from 6-7pm or 7-8pm
 Referees will be provided for all games.
 Games will be played in a 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 format (depending on participation).
 
 
REGISTRATION BEGINS

 Saturday, January 29th, 2011
 During office hours in the Recreation Center
 Each division is limited, sign up early.
 
 
PROGRAM FEES

 $70.00
$10.00 Sibling Discount
 
All players must have valid Recreation card.
 The Recreation card is free for City of Seminole Residents. 
 $120.00 for non-residents.
 Fees include team shirts & socks.
 
COACHES

Volunteer coaches needed.

Seminole Shooting Stars is always looking for hardworking, dedicated, and professional acting referees that are 14 years of age and older.
 
If you are interested in becoming a referee you must attend an 18 hour course offered by Florida State Referees.  There are two (2) entry level courses for Referees, the:
1.      Recreational Referee Course (Grade 9) - To successfully complete the Grade 9 Recreational Referee course the candidate must attend 8 hours of course work, including a written test.
2.      Referee Course (Grade 8) - To successfully complete the Grade 8 Referee course the candidate must attend 18 hours of course work and pass a 100 question written test.
